Rescuers are outraged after a tiny kitten was cruelly abandoned on a busy road in Waikiki on Halloween.

Witnesses watched as a box was dumped from a car on the side of the busy road but luckily stopped to investigate.

Inside, they found a tiny eight-week-old kitten, who was rushed to Baldivis Vet.

The kitten had a treatable fungal infection but her chances of survival would have been slim without intervention by the good Samaritan.

She’s been given the name Kiki, after the suburb where she was found, and is currently residing with a foster carer through the Cat Haven
