The Coconut Tree is facing closure of its UK restaurant locations, putting staff jobs at risk.
This popular chain entered administration last week after defaulting on payments on a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA), The Sun reported.
It comes as a shock to fans of the restaurant, but it may have to close a number of UK high street branches over an unpaid £1.6million tax bill to HMRC.

The business owes more than £1.36 million in VAT and over £230,000 in PAYE national insurance contributions to HMRC official papers show.
The chain has nine locations across the UK, including in Birmingham .
