Authorities in Alameda County are hoping the community can help them gather more information about an apparent road rage encounter over the weekend in Castro Valley that allegedly led to a man’s death.
On Saturday at about 7:40 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers were sent to the area of Wilbeam and North Ridge avenues in Castro Valley regarding a possible road rage incident that led to a collision.
Officers arrived and found Jason Elola, 49, suffering from apparent injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.
The other person allegedly involved in the collision, Martin Davis Jr., 37, called the CHP to report his involvement, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said. Davis was told to return to the scene, which he did.
