Luka Bogavac scored 19 points in place of Seth Trimble to help No. 18 North Carolina grind out a win over Radford 89-74 on Tuesday night in Chapel Hill.

Trimble was injured in a team practice Sunday and underwent surgery to repair a broken bone in his left arm. Bogavac was coach Hubert Davis' pick to replace the senior and he justified that with his second-half performance.

After missing his first six shots, Bogavac finished with a team-high 19 points and five assists as he made seven of his final 12 shots to pace the Tar Heels (3-0). He scored 12 points in the second half with two 3-pointers.
