RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A parent has been arrested after a large gathering at a bonfire ended with a shooting on October 31, say deputies.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says a further investigation into the shooting revealed that Kyle Johnson is the owner of the property the bonfire was held at.

Three juveniles were shot at the bonfire.

Additionally, investigators say Johnson helped the juveniles, including his 15-year-old son organize the event and was aware there was underage drinking happening.

He is accused of not taking any steps to prevent drinking or remove the alcohol.

Johnson turned himself in to law enforcement at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Wednesday morning, November 12.
