ALLEN PARK -- Jahmyr Gibbs did a little bit of everything against the Washington Commanders this past Sunday.

The Detroit Lions running back had 142 rushing yards and two touchdowns, adding 30 receiving yards and another score through the air in the team’s 44-22 road victory. Gibbs and the offense had Dan Campbell calling the offense for the first time since 2021, and everyone seemed to go off.

“Yeah, he zips by almost everybody, so I don’t feel bad when he’s going by me,” Lions right tackle Penei Sewell said of Gibbs. “It’s always a good feeling when you know your running back is right there, you see the back of his jersey rolling to the end zone.”

Gibbs joins Barry Sanders as the first Lions running back to win the NFC offensive player of the week multiple times during their careers.
