West Island commuters may have had some déjà vu experiences, as REM trains were spotted stuck on the tracks that span over Highway 40 during the afternoon drive home, and again during morning rush hour.

As of Wednesday morning, the light-rail system’s trains had been stuck for more than 16 hours between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning.

During the season’s first snow accumulation, at least two REM trains were immobilized without their lights on: one near the Canadian Tire store at St-Charles Blvd., and the other one just east of St-Jean Blvd, near the Fairview shopping mall in Pointe-Claire.
