A Frontier Airlines flight bound for Cincinnati was delayed for four hours on Sunday (November 9) after a passenger discovered a loaded ammunition magazine near her seat during boarding at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The passenger immediately notified a flight attendant, leading to the evacuation of all passengers from Flight 4771.
Security personnel re-screened the passengers and conducted a thorough search of the aircraft to ensure no additional threats were present. The only individuals permitted to bring a loaded magazine onto a plane are federal officers. The investigation revealed that the ammunition belonged to a law enforcement officer who had traveled on an earlier flight using the same aircraft. The Atlanta Police Department took custody of the magazine
