Shetland star Douglas Henshall looks worlds away from his iconic Jimmy Perez character in a throwback snap from 1999. The snap shows a much younger Douglas from 26 years ago with long light brown curly locks. ‌

The Scots actor, 59, has a full beard in the photo and is wearing a sage green jumper on top of a baby blue shirt. He can be seen posing in the camera shot with one hand behind his neck and the other resting on his shoulder. ‌

At the time the snap was taken, Douglas would have been starring in Psychos, This Year's Love and Kid in the Corner. After that, he featured in Lawless Heart and Silent Cry in 2001 and 2002. ‌

The 57-year-old is best known for his role of Detective Inspector Jimmy Perez in Shetland.
