MONROE, La. (KNOE) - LifeShare Blood Center is rewarding every person who donates blood, platelets, or plasma during the Thanksgiving week drive.

LifeShare said blood supply dips during the holidays due to closures at normal collection points, such as schools and businesses. To combat this, LifeShare is giving away t-shirts and turkey/ham vouchers to those who donate during Nov. 22-26.

The vouchers will be worth $15 and redeemable at a variety of locations.

“Every gift of blood during this time truly means so much to the patients who need it,” said Mandi Johnson, Director of Community Engagement at LifeShare Blood Center.

Participating locations include all LifeShare Blood Center locations throughout Louisiana, east Texas and South Arkansas.
