RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia-Richland firefighters worked together to control a Wednesday morning chimney fire, said the fire dept.

Fire dept. officials say, 3rd shift crews arrived to a home on Linedevon Lane Wednesday, Nov. 12, to find smoke coming from the property.

The fire was traced to a wall near the chimney and it also spread to part of the roof. Crews were able to contain the fire and extinguish it.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department said there were no injuries. Firefighters ask that people have your chimney inspected before using it during these cold days.
