New Delhi, Nov 12: The Sahitya Akademi on Friday will honour 24 writers from across India with its Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2025, recognising outstanding contributions to children’s literature in various Indian languages.
Among this year’s winners are Izhar Mubashir for Shure Te Tchure Gyush in Kashmiri, and P.L. Parihar ‘Shauq’ for Nanhi Tor in Dogri, bringing laurels to Jammu and Kashmir.
The awards ceremony will take place on 14 November 2025 at the Triveni Auditorium, Tansen Marg, New Delhi, and will be presided over by Madhav Kaushik, President of the Sahitya Akademi.
Eminent Gujarati writer Varsha Das will grace the occasion as Chief Guest, while Vice President Kumud Sharma will deliver the vote of thanks.
The welcome address will be presented by the Akademi’s Secretary, Pallavi Pras
