A speeding Muni train in San Francisco in September had passengers scrambling to keep their balance with some being thrown to the side of the car as it exited a tunnel, video shows.
KTVU reported the incident took place on a two-car N Judah light rail train as it was exiting the Sunset Tunnel on Sept. 24.
Surveillance video shared with KCRA 3 showed the frightening incident and the light rail train’s operator appearing fatigued. (See the full video above.)
The video begins with the operator slumped at her controls as passengers load for the ill-fated trip. She then leans back in her chair as the vehicle is in motion. After it enters the tunnel, she appears to nod off until being jolted awake as the train rounds the tunnel and passengers scream as they're tossed aside.
