An author with New Jersey connections has created a stir on X with a slew of posts critical of prominent figures, most notably the social media site's owner Elon Musk.
Joyce Carol Oates, a Rutgers University professor who formerly taught at Princeton University, began the diatribe with a Nov. 8 post questioning Musk's use of X, formerly known as Twitter. She remarked that the billionaire appears to not share any topic he personally enjoys on the site he owns, from praise for a particular book or movie to nature scenes or a loved one's achievement.
