While Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have differing accounts about what went wrong in their whirlwind marriage, fellow Bachelor Nation alum Carly Waddell doesn’t plan to follow in their footsteps.

“Lots of you are asking what happened in my failed engagement. This is why I’m not saying anything — well one of the reasons,” Waddell, 40, said in an Instagram Story video shared Tuesday, November 11. “Have you seen the Gerry and Theresa drama that’s going on right now [and] the he-said-she-said from Bachelor Nation situation? It just looks so gross.”

Waddell confirmed last month that she ended her engagement to lawyer Todd Allen Tressler without elaborating on her decision. (Waddell was previously married to Evan Bass, whom she met on Bachelor in Paradise season 2, from 2017 to 2020.)
