The family of a Chinese man who was found dead in a shower stall at an ICE detention center in Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit against the federal agency seeking more information on the circumstances surrounding his death.
Chaofeng Ge was found dead on Aug. 5, hanging by his neck with his hands and legs tied behind his back at Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Clearfield County.
In a press release on Wednesday, the law firm representing Chaofeng Ge’s brother, Yangfeng Ge, said the Freedom of Information Act suit was filed because Immigration and Customs Enforcement has provided no information to the family, “and no transparency into this tragic event.”
