(WNDU) - Indiana State Police have unveiled a new look for their patrol vehicles going forward.

The new Dodge Durango patrol vehicles were rolled out on Wednesday morning for the 87th ISP Recruit Academy Probationary Troopers.

According to Sgt. Ted Bohner, this new look is a throwback to a color scheme ISP used in the middle and late 60s.

“While the color scheme is a salute to our past, it is also a bridge to the future of the Indiana State Police, a future that each of these young Troopers will help forge,” said Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott in a news release. “We are excited to have both our new Troopers and these new look Dodge Durangos begin their service in communities throughout Indiana.”
