CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Next week, you’ll be able to share your thoughts about a project that could slow down your trip on I-380 in Johnson County.

The improvements would be for I-380 from the Swisher and Shueyville exit all the way south to Swan Lake Road in North Liberty.

The changes include widening from four to six lanes, replacing pavement, widening the shoulders and reconfiguring ramps and interchange access.

During construction, two lanes of traffic in each direction will stay open.

Ramps at the exit will close for up to four months during construction.

It’s expected to start spring of 2030 and end in fall of 2032.

The open house is on Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the DOT’s field office on Kirkwood Boulevard in Cedar Rapids.
