Battle Creek police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Tuesday, Nov. 11, on West Columbia Avenue.

A bicyclist traveling westbound on West Columbia Avenue was struck by a vehicle also traveling westbound about 6:45 a.m., police said in a statement. Battle Creek police, the Battle Creek Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance responded to the scene.

The bicyclist, a 23-year-old Battle Creek man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges are being pursued at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
