Sainsbury's has issued an important update for any shoppers who use their Nectar Card when buying fuel at an Esso petrol station.
The supermarket has urged shoppers to check they are scanning the barcode of their Nectar Card in order to ensure they are correctly collecting their Nectar points when buying fuel.
The news comes after Sainsbury's revealed at the end of last month they would be updating the Nectar app to have a QR code , rather than the traditional barcode, leading some shoppers to complain of "confusion" surrounding the change.
However, Sainsbury's has now issued a notice to shoppers explaining they will still need to use the traditional barcode in their Nectar Card app in order to still collect points when buying fuel from an Esso petrol station.
