Bomb Threat on Air India Express Flight from Mumbai to Varanasi

The security of all airports have been increased in the wake of the blast near Red Fort in Delhi on Monday

xNew Delhi: An Air India Express flight operating from Mumbai to Varanasi received a bomb threat on Wednesday prompting the security agencies to carry out extensive searches.

The flight carrying over 170 passengers landed safely at the Varanasi airport at 4 pm. The passengers were deboarded and the flight was searched. So far nothing was found.

“One of our flights to Varanasi received a security threat. In line with protocol, the government-appointed Bomb Threat Assessment Committee was immediately alerted, and all necessary security procedures promptly initiated.
