Afternoon highs should be right around average for mid-November After an unseasonably cold start to the week with a winter-like feel to the air, we finally saw some improvement on Wednesday across Central and Eastern Kentucky. Sunshine was a welcome sight around the region after a couple of mostly cloudy and dreary days which helped boost the spirits and our temperatures as well. Breezy west to southwest winds gusting over 20 miles per hour at times pushed afternoon highs back into the upper 50s and even low 60s, which is slightly around average for this time of the year.
