A Teaneck driver was arrested after officers found a large quantity of marijuana, THC products, and tens of thousands of dollars in cash during a traffic stop in New Milford, authorities said.

The incident happened around 7:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, when Officer Shane Churaman and Officer Brian Johnson pulled over a vehicle on Boulevard at Vomel Drive, according to New Milfor Police Capt. Kevin Van Saders.

During the stop, Officer Churaman saw a large amount of THC products in plain view in the back seat, consistent with illegal drug distribution, Van Saders said.

Sgt. Sam Gerais and Officer Isaiah Castaneda arrived to assist. A further search turned up a large garbage bag full of suspected marijuana and THC products, drug distribution paraphernalia, and approximately $46,000 in cash, police said.

The driver, Teaujah Parham, 22, of Teaneck, was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance (2nd degree), distribution of synthetic cannabinoid (3rd degree), money laundering, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, along with several motor vehicle summonses, Van Saders said.

Parham was processed and taken to the Bergen County Jail.
