YOUNGSTOWN The city of Youngstown proposed to replace or remove existing traffic signals at 17 different intersections along Market Street and Indianola Avenue, according to a Wednesday news release.

The changes proposed would happen within the city, and the release states that "this project will improve vehicle and pedestrian safety, enhance pedestrian accessibility, allow better traffic flow, and remove unneeded traffic signals."

The proposed traffic signal replacements will include:

Market Street & Midlothian Boulevard

Market Street & Southern Boulevard

Market Street & Idianola Avenue

Market Street & Dewey Avenue

Market Street & Williamson Avenue

Market Street & Woodland Avenue

Indianola Avenue & South Avenue
