One person was airlifted to the hospital after being trapped under a vehicle in Leicester, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.

Local police said they were called to Homestead Lane around 1 p.m. Fire and EMS immediately began rescue efforts for one person stuck under the vehicle. They were airlifted to UMass with serious injuries.

Two other people - the driver and another person who had been struck - were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police did not immediately say what led up to the crash.
