UPDATE: A Soddy Daisy woman, who investigators say was intentionally set on fire by a man while she was inside a camper on Tuesday, has died.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says Angela Michelle Palacio passed away from her injuries after being flown to a Nashville hospital with third degree burns.

This all stems from an incident Tuesday afternoon in the 1800 block of Eldridge Road in Soddy Daisy where investigators say 39-year-old Christopher Alan Medula doused Palacio in gasoline and used a cigarette lighter to set on her fire inside of a camper.

Investigators say a neighbor saw Medula trying to hold the camper door closed as Palacio tried to push her way out of it before he ran away and tried to hide.

That same neighbor found Medula and held him at gunpoint until deputies arr
