Premier Doug Ford is touting construction of Canada’s largest battery storage facility as an example how Ontario can weather U.S. President Donald Trump ‘s trade war.

“This is a challenging time for our province with tariffs creating economic uncertainty and taking direct aim at our economy, our workers and our businesses,” Ford said Wednesday in Edwardsburgh Cardinal, 80 km south of Ottawa.

“Who I’m talking about is President Trump, but we should never take a back seat to President Trump,” he said, referring to American levies on Canadian auto parts, steel and aluminum.
