A state appeals court panel Wednesday upheld rapper Tory Lanez's conviction for shooting hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion in the feet during a 2020 dispute in the Hollywood Hills.
Lanez, now 33, was found guilty in December 2022 of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

Lanez -- whose real name is Daystar Peterson -- was sentenced in August 2023 to 10 years in state prison.
In its 46-page ruling, the three-justice panel from California's 2nd District Court of Appeal rejected the defense's contention that there were errors in Lanez's trial.
