ROCKLAND, Maine (WABI) -The case of a 24-year-old man accused of killing a 22-month-old toddler has been declared a mistrial after the just could not agree on a verdict.
Aziayh Scott is charged with manslaughter for the death of Quayshawn Wilson last May at a Thomaston Walmart.
Jury deliberations began Monday and after taking a day off for Veterans Day, they were back in a Rockland courthouse this morning.
Early this morning, they left a note for the judge asking for clarity around circumstantial evidence, beyond a reasonable doubt and asked to hear transcripts from expert doctor witnesses they heard last week.
After further discussion, at around 1:30 this afternoon, the jury left a note asking for guidance from the judge as they were at an impasse and struggling to make a decision una
