Srinagar, Nov 12: As the cold wave continues to grip the Kashmir Valley, temperatures plummeted sharply across the region on Wednesday night. Srinagar recorded the season’s first and coldest sub-zero night.
The minimum temperature at most places in the Valley dropped below the freezing point, marking the onset of early winter chills.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Srinagar recorded a minimum temperature of –0.6°C, while several other stations reported even colder conditions.
Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded the lowest temperature in the Valley at –3.8°C, followed by Budgam at –4.2°C and Shopian at –4.1°C.
