Louisiana third graders show biggest gains in state reading scores

Louisiana's literacy efforts have resulted in a 3-point rise in reading proficiency among K-3 students, with the state now ranking 16th in the nation for fourth-grade reading and No. 1 in the U.S. for reading progress.
