NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police in Newburgh Heights are actively searching for a female suspect following an apparent road rage shooting that left one person injured on Interstate 77 Wednesday morning.
According to a press release, the victim first encountered the suspect on I-77 north near I-480 around 9 a.m. before the suspect fired a gun at the victim just beyond Harvard Avenue. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
Authorities say the suspect was driving a silver Ford Fusion. She is described as being in her 30s and "heavy-set" with braids and a durag.
