The NASCAR Cup Series race in 2026 at Iowa Speedway is scheduled to be a daytime race for the second-straight year.
On Nov. 12, NASCAR released the start times and TV channels for its 2026 races. The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series race is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Iowa Speedway in Newton. It is scheduled to be broadcast on the USA Network and on the radio on the Motor Racing Network.
NASCAR's top-level Cup Series first raced at Iowa Speedway in 2024 under the lights with a 6:30 p.m. start. Ryan Blaney, whose mother hails from Chariton, won the inaugural race. In August 2025, William Byron won the second Cup Series race.
