Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson has been demoted once again by the New York Giants. After a poor relief effort after starter Jaxson Dart suffered a concussion, the Giants have demoted Wilson to third string quarterback, with Jameis Winston taking over the backup duties.

If Dart can not play due to a concussion, it will be Winston making a start, not Wilson. As a result, that will hurt the Steelers’ compensatory pick value for Wilson’s deal, as he will not hit the necessary playing time thresholds to turn into a fourth-round pick, but will likely be a fifth-or-sixth round pick instead.
