PORTMSOUTH, R.I. (WLNE) — The Portsmouth Police Department said a manager at a pizzeria was arrested after a hidden recording device was allegedly found in the restaurant’s restroom.
29-year-old Michael Boone was charged with video voyeurism, unauthorized dissemination of indecent material, and disorderly conduct.
Police said an employee at the pizzeria reported that they allegedly saw a mobile phone positioned in the bathroom to record the room.
A search warrant for Boone’s home allegedly found a phone matching the description that contained “evidence.”
Police alleged that Boone admitted to recording employees without their consent and then distributing the footage online.
Anyone with information on the case was asked to contact the department at 401-683-0994.
