LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing police have identified the 18-year-old who was shot and killed by another teenager on the city’s south side Tuesday afternoon.
Lansing police officials on Wednesday identified the victim as 18-year-old Daviahn Latham.
A 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with the shooting. His name has not been released. Lansing police on Tuesday had initially identified the suspect as a 19-year-old.
There was a large police presence near Georgetown Boulevard and Edgewood as the Lansing Police and Fire departments were called around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Arbors at Georgetown apartment complex.
Lansing police officials say responding officers found Latham unresponsive at the scene. Life-saving measures performed by LFD personnel were unsuccessful.
