A Connecticut man was arrested after police said he stole power tools and pulled a box cutter on Home Depot staff.
Isuel Cordero, 24, of Waterbury, went into the store and hid two Ryobi drills in his backpack. When he tried to leave, loss prevention staff stopped him, Waterbury police said.
Cordero “pushed staff and brandished a box cutter,” police said. He ran from the store, but no one was hurt.
Officers later found Cordero on Benedict Street and took him into custody. Police said the stolen drills, worth $659.98, were not recovered.
Cordero faces charges of first-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny, according to police.
