The New York Giants will start Jameis Winston at quarterback on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers with Jaxson Dart in the concussion protocol. Interim head coach Mike Kafka made that announcement on Wednesday.

Dart was not on the practice field on Wednesday, leading a long list of Giants who did not practice. In all, 10 players were held out of Kafka’s first practice as an NFL head coach.

The most mysterious of those injuries might be to Evan Neal, who was held out due to a hamstring injury. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft has been active just one time in the first 10 games, and has not played a snap this season.
