Residents of West and East Craigs are furious over a five day road closure they claim they were not notified over.

Maybury Road southbound between the East Craigs roundabout and Glasgow Road is due to be closed for five days from November 17 2025.

This means residents and commuters will have to take a diversion north, along Queensferry Road and down Drum Brae North in order to be able to travel south of their community. Not only this, but the only bus servicing East Craigs, the 31, will not be able to access Glasgow Road for the duration of the diversion.

Taylor Wimpey are closing the road in order to resurface the southbound carriageway of Maybury Road as part of the Craig’s Road junction upgrade. The company claims they have notified nearby residents in the area however some locals
