JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Chalkville School Road in Jefferson County will be closed for an undetermined amount of time due to a ‘serious motor vehicle accident’, according to authorities.

Center Point Fire District says emergency crews are on the scene of the crash and will close the road for an ‘extended period of time.’

At this time, Center Point Fire is asking drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
