Avengers: Doomsday has the perfect opportunity to repurpose Kang the Conqueror's story and show us how Robert Downey Jr. might not be playing the true Doctor Doom, and I'm convinced that is what the Marvel Cinematic Universe will do. Downey is the face of the MCU, having played Iron Man in many of the MCU's Phases . Now, he returns as Doctor Doom.

Aside from the reveal of the core cast of the next Avengers movie , which will be led by Downey, we do not really have any concrete details regarding Avengers: Doomsday 's story .
