LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A Louisville man has been indicted for murder in a deadly shooting in the Russell neighborhood.
Dontez Edwards, 36, was indicted for murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and unlawful transaction with a minor.
Edwards is charged in connection to the shooting that happened on Sept. 28 in the 2100 block of West Market Street.
He is the second arrest in the case. A 15-year-old was charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a minor on Oct. 9.
Louisville Metro Police Department responded around 7:15 p.m. and found a man who had been shot. He died at the scene.
Edwards was already in custody at the time of his indictment
According to court records, police were investigating a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox on Sept. 30 that had the wrong license plate. Edw
