SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, California (KOLO) - A South Lake Tahoe food bank is calling for donations amid severe shortages of canned goods and non perishable items.
The Heavenly Village in Nevada and the Lucky Beaver Bar and Burger in Nevada say their stocks are nearly empty due to overwhelming community need.
“This is one of the most challenging shortages we’ve ever experienced,” said Doug Williams, Board Member of Christmas Cheer. “Our cabinet is empty. The need is real, the need is local, and the need is right now.”
You can drop off items at 1120 Third Street in South Lake Tahoe.
Requested Items Include:
Canned vegetables, soups, beans, and sauces
Canned meats (tuna, chicken, chili)
Pasta and pasta sauces
Rice, boxed meals, and instant foods
Peanut butter and other high-protein items
