FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth visited Fort Wayne Wednesday for the Northeast Indiana Defense Summit, speaking to local contractors about potential work opportunities and military priorities.
Hegseth spoke at the summit, which was hosted by Sen. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), addressing representatives from major defense manufacturers in the region.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do here in Indiana and across the country to get things on time and at scale,” Hegseth said.
His speech focused on what he says the Trump administration has changed within the military and national defense, including bringing back what he called the “warrior” mentality.
