National Council of Jewish Woman/Cleveland will hold its 23rd annual Lois Zaas Memorial Advocacy Lecture titled, “Can We Trust the Media? Can We Trust the Truth?” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Temple Emanu El at 4545 Brainard Road in Orange.

Lois Zaas, who died in 2003, was a past president of NCJW/CLE and an activist in the community, and the lecture was dedicated in her memory by her family. According to the event’s co-chair Leslie Resnik, the Zaas lecture serves as a “deep dive” into a current social issue of importance, and this year’s topic focuses on the freedoms listed in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution – specifically freedom of the press.
