NEWTON — Though Madison field hockey coach Sarah Morano insisted her players have been taking one game at a time, they had something very different to say. The Group 1 North final against Newton has been circled on the calendar for a year.

After all, the Braves prematurely ended Madison's season on its home field last fall. On Nov. 12, the Dodgers returned the favor with a 3-2 victory.

Junior midfielder Lindsay Catchpole scored all three Madison goals off corners. The game winner deflected into the cage off a Newton defender with 5:35 left to play.

When the final whistle blew, the Dodgers sprinted from all over the field and the bench to meet goalie Clementine Dickson-Child near the cage.
