Walcha Council Mayor Eric Noakes said the Minister made her promise to him, and he expects her to uphold her pledge.

"She's promised me she'll come up in early December," Cr Noakes said. "I think she was honest in that promise. I don't know how that'll work or what will come of it, but, you know, at least she's coming."
