Officials results from Watertown’s city council race could come next week

WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - It could be late next week before we know who officially won the Watertown City Council race.

Jefferson County Election Commissioners continue to sift through ballots from last week’s general election.

In the city council race, Shane Garrabrant and Doug Osborne remain in the top two positions, with Pete Monaco and Anthony Velasquez in third and fourth, respectively.

The Board of Elections is going through its last affidavits and absentee ballots and looking through write-ins.

Commissioners say they aren’t able to give the absentee results from the city council race until the results are certified.
