Former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy spoke to the Akron Roundtable Nov. 12 about the importance of addressing loneliness by building up community.
Murthy served as the 19th and 21st U.S. surgeon general and is founder and chair of the nonprofit organization The Together Project.
Murthy said it's important to have multiple types of connections, including with family members, friends and colleagues.
