LAKE COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) - State prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for accused quadruple murderer Austin Drummond.

Drummond is charged with the death of four family members and the kidnapping of a child who was found in Dyer County on the side of the road.

During a grand jury hearing Monday afternoon in Lake County, a group of county citizens met in secret to decide if there is enough evidence to prosecute Drummond’s case.

Following that meeting, state prosecutors filed a notice that they will seek the death penalty against Drummond.

Drummond is due back in court next Monday, November 17.
